If you were an Engineer Competition
On Tuesday 27th November a group of Year 9 and Year 10 Computer Science students attended the launch for the South East Secondary Competition ‘If you were an engineer what would you do?’ at Canterbury Christ Church University. The students took part in workshops with engineers from a range of specialisms, such as, military bomb disposal and renewable energy. They started to identify and solve solutions to the problems for the competition. They also saw the exhibition of previous winning designs including the ‘Electricity Generating Trampoline’ and the ‘Truggy’, the travel luggage and pushchair combination.
The competition will be launched in school at 12.30pm on Tuesday 11th and at 1.30pm on Wednesday 12th December in Computer Room 18. The competition is open to all students within the school and entry closes at the end of March 2019.
