'The Pressure to be Perfect is Purely for Profit'
Students in Year 8 attended an assembly hosed by Jo Harrison who talked about her organization Shape Your Culture, which seeks to empower young women with ways of being a feminist activist, no matter your age, through creativity. She also talked about the pressures on young women to conform to media images.
'It was really good that the true nature of that pressure to be perfect was revealed. It was really inspiring, opening up ideas of examples of the little things we can do to improve our world' SLGGS Year 7 student
Two students from Year 12 who were also involved took part in a badge making workshop where students designed feminist badges with Jo.
