Congratulations Greta Gillham-Wright!!

changing world

Huge congratulations to one of our most outstanding students, Greta Gillham-Wright in Year 13 for her prize winning entry in the ESRC’s Changing World photo competition. Greta’s re-enactment of ‘Ophelia’ was selected from over 1,600 entries. She was an overall winner in one of the competition’s sub-categories and the judges were clearly impressed by her ability to use photography as a mean to tackle issues in our society.

This year the ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) is celebrating 50 years of supporting world-class social science research. As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, their photographic competition examines how the world has changed over the last 50 years, how it will continue to change and what social sciences can tell us.

Greta received her award and prize money at the prestigious Menier Gallery on London’s       Southbank on Tuesday.
