A grade ‘B’ in GCSE Geography is strongly advised – occasionally, we have considered a B in another Humanities subject but this is through negotiation with Deputy Head and Head of Department.

Year 12:

  • Component 1: Coastal Landscapes & Changing Places
  • Component 2: Water & Carbon Cycle & Global Governance Change & Challenge
  • Component 3: Tectonic Hazards
  • RESIDENTIAL FIELDWORK – DORSET 3 DAYS

Year 13:

  • Component 3: Weather and Climate & Development in an African Context OR Economic Growth and Challenge: India or China
  • Component 4: Independent Investigation – 4000 words: Tutors will be allocated according to research topic (topic will develop out of Canterbury area fieldwork and Dorset fieldwork from Year 12)
