Homework
At Langton, homework will:
- Provide students with an opportunity to reflect on the learning from their lesson
- Allow students to revisit key concepts, knowledge and skills multiple times
- Ensure that students complete reading at home so that they work on live problem-solving during lessons
- Having clear learning intentions and success criteria
- Be purposeful, meaningful and appropriately challenging for all students
When homework has not been set, it is expected that students must revisit the material from their lesson and that students engage in the stretch and challenge activities outlined in the ‘’Resources Booklet’’ for each Key Stage.
Homework timetables
Students in Year 7 and 8 have homework timetables to help them with their organisation and time management.
Students in Years 9 – 13 do not have homework timetables since there is an expectation that they will have developed their ability to plan effectively.
