Reporting and Assessment
The school provides students and parents with information regarding the release of reporting data, written reports and the timings of parents’ evenings.
In Years 7 and 8, the school reports the following:
- The ‘’Assessment %’’ which is calculated from all of the assessments that a student has completed from the start of the course. Weighting is used to reduce the impact of historic assessment scores or augment significant assessments.
- The ‘’Average Assessment %’’ which represents the mean result for the subject cohort.
- Attendance figures.
Parents of students in Years 7 - 11 receive a tutor report which focuses on students’ individual qualities and achievements as well as considering their contribution to the wider values and ethos of the school. Parents of students in the Sixth Form receive the students’ reference in Year 13.
There are two parents’ evenings in Years 7, 8, 12 and 13 and one parents’ evening in Years 9 – 11.
