Artsmark Platinum Award

We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded Artsmark Platinum! This is a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the outstanding quality of work, the exciting collaborative projects across subject areas and the contribution the arts make to the school as a whole. 

Schools are recognised for their exceptional commitment to creativity with the Artsmark Award, accredited by Arts Council England - the only award for arts and cultural provision in England. 

The assessors were very impressed with the way in which the arts have supported initiatives such as the Encompass Project and celebrated the whole school community, celebrating inclusivity. They stated:

'Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School has developed a rich arts and cultural offer, with a wide range of performance opportunities in music and drama and a host of exciting projects and events offering students leadership experience and ownership of their engagement in the arts.'
